Coastal length of 671 km offers opportunities for different water sports such as;

It is home to many archaeological values ​​and cultural assets, especially the Ancient City of Troy, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List (Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkish Excavations in 2022).

There are 6 Tourism Centers with thermal or coastal themes in Çanakkale. Tourism accommodation investments that can benefit from regional supports in thermal tourism can benefit from the 5th region supports. Investments to be made in some areas have been determined as priority investments, and investments in these areas have been granted the right to benefit from the support of the 5th region, regardless of which region they are made except for the 6th region. Tourism accommodation investments that can benefit from regional supports in Culture and Tourism Conservation and Development Regions or thermal tourism is one of the investment issues discussed in this context.

Çanakkale coasts have an important potential in terms of experiencing different water sports such as surfing, underwater diving and kitesurfing. There are 12 blue flag beaches in Çanakkale (Turkish Environmental Education Foundation, Access to Information: 13 March 2023). Hosting different cultural motifs together with the title of Cittaslow, Gökçeada has been hosting tourists especially from the Balkans as a windsurfing center in recent years.
