Işıkeli Chickpea Coffee Received Geographical Indication

As a result of the initiatives of Biga Municipality, Biga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Biga Chamber of Agriculture, Işıkeli Chickpea Coffe was registered by being published in the Official Geographical Indication and Traditional Product Name bulletin dated 15.08.2023 and numbered 155. Işıkeli Chickpea Coffee is  produced in Işıkeli Village of Biga district of Çanakkale province by medium roasting and grinding of chickpeas at 200-250 °C. Işıkeli Chickpea Coffee has a long history. It has an important place in the culinary culture and economy of Işıkeli Village.
